Q: HOW DO I KNOW IF MY MASK IS A COUNTERFEIT OR NOT?
Testing whether or not your N95 or KN95 respiratory mask works in an independent laboratory isn't affordable or realistic for most of us, so we've devised a couple of quick home tests you can easily carry to check on the basic efficacy of your mask(s). These aren't medically endorsed tests & the TGA is aways your 1st port of call, where you can check whether the product has an ARTG Certificate or whether its been struck off the ARTG list (https://www.tga.gov.au/post-market-review-face-masks-cancelled-artg-entries). Whilst this is valuable the TGA don't actually approve or test the masks you've purchased, they only register or deregister them. To the left are two quick and easy tests you can conduct by yourself at home in just 2 minutes!
Andrew Topp, Capital Chemists (January 7th, 2020)
Huge shoutout to Michael Cima from Cole Workwear who worked tirelessly with us in Canberra to source >20,000 masks for the Capital Chemist group.
We're not out of the woods yet but you have made it a little bit easier for a lot of Canberrans.
Roz Lucas, Director Health Emergency Measures Section, Department of Health (April 29th, 2020)
Cole Workwear delivered an order of 20 million masks on time and in full to the Department of Health.
This is impressive when you consider the challenging environment to manufacture and then import face masks.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone requiring quality bulk medical PPE supplies.
